Time – what does it mean to you?
Like the ocean tides, time comes and it goes. It is a never ending cycle. However, how we use our time can make all the difference in our lives.
We have all heard the clichés, but are we using their wisdom?
- Time waits for no man
- Time is a thief
- Time is all we have
Here are a few more famous quotes:
“We must use time as a tool, not as a crutch.” John F. Kennedy
“Lost time is never found again.” Benjamin Franklin
“Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend.” Theophrastus
“Time is the wisest counselor of all.” Pericles
“Time is a created thing. To say 'I don't have time,' is like saying, 'I don't want to.” Lao Tzu
How are you using your time to move towards the life you have dreamed for yourself? Have you fallen into the trap of ’being busy’, and just letting life ’happen’ to you? Are you just letting time come and go while you while you wait until….
- the kids grow up and move out
- you quit your job
- you retire
- you _________(fill in the blank)
What could happen if you took one small step today towards your ideal life, and then another tomorrow and each following day?
Maybe the better question to ask yourself is: What are you waiting for? Time? Are you sure you will have enough of it? Or will it suddenly be washed away on the tide someday along with all those wonderful dreams of yours?
The choice is yours. It starts by believing in yourself; by believing that you are enough. You have everything you need to live the fulfilled and joyful life you were put here for.
Are you making the best of your ”Time”?
Are you riding the 'waves' of your life or are they sucking you under?
You have the power to turn the tide.
How will you use time today as a tool to get you closer to your dream fulfillment?
